We added events this year, the boys' ministry (A.R.M.O.R. OF GOD), remodeled the website, more volunteers, among a few other things.
I believe 2014 will also be amazing. Not because of what we will do; we do nothing in and of ourselves. I believe 2014 will be amazing because I see the doors God opens as we become willing to step out of the boat and walk on water, as He takes us by the hand.
We may be scared. We should do it anyway. We may feel unwanted. Love on people anyway. We may feel unappreciated. Serve anyway. We may not get to see the seeds being planted with the naked eye, but God can send other laborers to water the seeds and reap the harvest. That's not of our concern. We proclaim the news and make disciples. What we do not see, God sees.
Some details are still up in the air. One thing I'm very excited about is that more parents are becoming interested in hosting their own Blossom Tea Party. I am grateful for that because they know kids and parents that I cannot reach. If they gather them and allow us the opportunity to preach the Gospel (in a "tea-lightful" way), then praise God!
I have a couple of parents interested in a birthday tea party for their little girls. They are aware it's a faith based organization and they are okay with it; they want it that way!
I'm offering parents to purchase personalized newsletters for their private tea parties. This way, the guests get to take something home to learn from, the host gets their personalized newsletter (I truly like personalized stuff!), and the ministry will get a bit more money coming in to help continue our work for the Kingdom. Let's pray for God's will to be done.
The boys seem interested in a picnic type gathering for the next A.R.M.O.R. OF GOD event. That's easier for me, since it will require less time decorating, but we'll see what we decide.
Movie night was a big hit with the kids. We will be programming more of them for 2014!
My morning "Blossom Café" will begin in January. Women will come together every 2nd and 4th Thursday, while our children are in school, to enjoy each other's company, learn about Biblical homemaking, and grow our relationship with God. I can't wait!
The online devotional, "Grace in Our Town," and, "Blossom in the Kitchen," are still pending. I had some setbacks, but expect to make final decisions and preparations in the coming weeks.
Our food and clothing ministry is also in the works. I know there are lots of families that struggle to make ends meet and don't speak up for fear of being judged or embarrassed. I'm praying the community will respond and help by notifying us of people they know are in need. I'm praying for God's provision through our own people; that we may experience a closeness like never before, reaching out to help one another. We are in our own world too often, failing to notice our neighbor and sometimes not even knowing their names. We must build more relationships in our own streets, cities, world!
I am prayerfully making plans and preparing, but may God's will be done. Not mine or anybody else's. God's alone- whatever that may be. Let's just be willing to step out in faith. We ARE the hands and feet of Jesus. Should His stands remain idle?
Thanks to all who pray for us and have donated time, love, money, materials, etc. May God richly bless you and keep you.
