different families, but a lot of times, it is the women in the home who struggle
The daily routine and responsibility can begin to feel much like a heavy
cloak we drag around all day out of obligation, and we can lose our joy. In my
own experience, there were times when I didn't even KNOW what was bothering me!
I couldn't stand my own thoughts. I felt like a one woman circus with all kinds
of thoughts racing through my head.
It is healthy and encouraged to take a break. We need to make time for
friends and, if possible, take a little vacation. The cleaning will always need
to be done. Let's put first things first. An emotionally healthy person will
always function better in the home and in the Kingdom of God.
Communication is very important. Let your spouse and/or family
members know how you feel and don't hesitate to ask for help. Don't neglect
your prayer life when you feel this way. Spend time in worship and prayer. We
may not always feel like it, but God is worthy of our praise and it will take
the focus off ourselves. Be blessed!
