The forecast called for an 80% chance of rain. A group of friends and I prayed the sky would clear and prayed that this would not prevent the children from coming. It was so cloudy and rainy all morning! Several people contacted me asking if I was still having movie night and suggesting I cancel. I did nothing of the sort and was determined to have it. Rain or shine, I would be there and prayed some kids would come and enjoy the snacks (hot dogs, pop corn, hot chocolate, and dessert) and movie.
Praise be to God, the skies cleared around 3 p.m. and gave me enough time to set up (under a porch area, just in case), and have everything ready when the kids showed up.
My goodness! The skies were clear and blue! Some small clouds lingered and it was chilly, but, wow!
We had one brave girl open up about a bullying incident (another subject addressed in the movie) she encountered and how she handled it, and we had a newcomer give her life to the Lord. I am humbled. God is good and cares about our little movie night. My heart is full. I will fundraise to buy more copies of this movie to give them out to the kids. They truly enjoyed it.
