It's not something pleasant (at all) to discover in ourselves, but necessary in our growth. Sin and rebellion must be confronted.
I believe we can confront ourselves by staying rooted in the Word. The Holy Spirit will continue to do the job God sends it to do; to give power and conviction (among other special things). I also believe we can confront others, in love, with any concerns we may have regarding their behavior or speech.
Here are a couple of victims, I mean, participants (lol) of our "Truth or Dare" Wednesday, considering the question of hypocrisy in themselves.
God knows your heart. Sometimes (more often than I care to admit) I feel like Paul in Romans 7:15 where he says, "I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate."
I thank God HE is faithful when I am not. I thank God HE sees through to my heart and my true desires to honor Him.
Keep running the race and relying on His grace. It truly IS amazing! And His mercies are new every morning...Glory to Him in the Highest!
